10″ DMC Reconditioned Dredge


This dredge was originally built by Dredge & Marine Corporation of Mt. Juliet, Tennessee, in 1996, for a South Carolina aggregate producer. In 2004 it was sold and moved to another nearby sand plant, at which time it received extensive refurbishing and retrofitting. In 2011 and again recently, this machine was completely refurbished and is in excellent condition. Available for rent or lease.

Heavy-duty ladder, 48 ft long (14.6 m) for dredging to depths of 41.6 ft (12.7 m)
Heavy-duty Thomas Simplicity 10″ x 10″ (250mm x 200mm) Series H30 dredge pump
Caterpillar 3406 main diesel power, approx. 400-hp (298 kW), belt drive
Main engine also powers a 3-stage hydraulic pump for all hydraulic functions
New cutterhead, 26″ backring ID (650mm), 40-hp (29.8 kW) cutter assembly
Standard Dredge Central refurbishing process includes, but is not limited to, the following:

Sandblasting and painting metal surfaces as needed
Repair or replacement of all hydraulic & electrical system components as needed
Inspection of dredge pump; reconditioning or replacement of parts as needed
Testing & servicing diesel engine(s); repair or replacement as needed
Inspection & servicing main pump drive machinery; reconditioning or replacement as needed
Inspection & testing of entire cutter assembly; repair or replacement as needed
Testing & servicing of all hauling and hoisting equipment including winches, hydraulic cylinders, and cables; reconditioning or replacement as needed
Testing of all controls and gauges; reconditioning or replacement as needed
